Experience Advanced Dentistry for Strong, Beautiful Crowns
Severe damage to the teeth can occur for various reasons, including trauma, cavities, heavy bite forces, or normal functioning. In cases where gum disease significantly affects the nerve, a root canal therapy is necessary to prevent tooth loss. Dental crowns, also known as tooth caps, are used to restore and protect damaged or missing teeth. These crowns are made of materials that closely resemble natural teeth, making them indistinguishable. They are highly stable and provide comfort, with porcelain crowns being particularly known for their natural appearance.
Crowns offer numerous benefits, including the ability to restore a single tooth, multiple teeth (involving the entire mouth), or in conjunction with dental implants to fill a gap. When a tooth or multiple teeth are missing, there is a higher chance of restoration using a dental bridge or an implant.
Simplifying the Process
When you come to our office and your treatment plan is created, you will only need two appointments with your dental surgeon to restore your tooth. During your first appointment, a gentle preparation of the teeth will be done to create a gap for the porcelain to be placed over the tooth. Dr. Kaivan Kiai will provide you with all the necessary information to help you find an excellent lab that can design your tooth. In the meantime, a temporary crown will be provided to you to fulfill all the functions until your permanent crown is ready at the lab. This usually takes about 2-3 weeks at most.
Once the custom-made crowns are built by the lab technician, you will be called in for another appointment with our dentist. Dr. Kaivan Kiai will examine the appearance and fit of the crown before proceeding with the bonding procedure. Any necessary adjustments to your bite will be made, followed by a final polish. Your artificial porcelain crown, which looks and functions like a natural-looking brand new tooth, will be ready for use.
Have you ever wondered, "Where can I find porcelain dental crowns near me?" or "Where can I get porcelain crowns in Los Angeles?" A consultation with Dr. Kaivan Kiai is all you need to address your dental concerns. To arrange a consultation, contact us today.
